Megan Petersen, M.A.


Megan holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hunter College. She believes in forming a collaborative relationship to support clients in discovering their strengths and overcoming obstacles. She has experience counseling clients with depression, anxiety, relationship and familial issues, as well as survivors of abuse and other traumas. Megan has lived in New York since 2005, but was born and raised in Nebraska. She currently serves as a song leader on the Worship Team at Redeemer West Side and has also served congregants as a member of the Diaconate. She enjoys all the arts, trying new restaurants, exploring different neighborhoods, meeting new people, hiking, running, swimming, paddle-boarding and quality time with loved ones.
