This Renewal group is for any wife experiencing heartbreak from her husband's infidelity, including affairs, sexual addiction and pornography. The main objective of the group is to begin or continue the journey of personal healing through grieving, understanding, and growing in a safe environment with the support of others. We will use A L.I.F.E. Recovery Guide for Spouses, by Melissa Haas for weekly reading. Writing assignments will be given to be completed at home and shared in the group the following week.
The journey is about finding the freedom to live in the grace and truth of God - no matter what choices your spouse makes. It's about being transformed into the woman God has always intended you to be for your good and His glory. We have no power over the desires and choices of others, but we can submit ourselves - our desires and choices - to the Faithful One. In Him we will always have hope, for He has already taken the journey . . . and made it. (Melissa Haas)
Individual therapy is recommended, but not a requirement of the group.
