Counselor

Victoria Chiu completed her masters in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is an EMDR-certified and Attachment-based Family Therapy (ABFT) informed therapist. She worked as a bilingual (Mandarin, Cantonese) play therapist treating young children and low-income families who had experienced grief, trauma, neglect, and attachment issues. She also provided mental health services in mainland China for expats, Third Culture kids, and local Chinese clients, along with supporting social service agencies, such as orphanages.

During her years of clinical experience, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults, along with couples and families on a variety of issues like depression, anxiety, relational patterns, abuse, neglect, grief and transition. Along with her clinical work, Victoria is also working towards her doctorate in marriage and family therapy (MFT), specializing in children and adolescents, while conducting research on mental health and transnational families.

Victoria loves hiking, biking, puppies, and the cello.
