Tony Lopez, LMHC
Tony Lopez is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and he holds two master’s degrees from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The first being in Forensic Psychology and the second in Forensic Mental Health Counseling. He also has a third master’s degree in Religion from Liberty University with a specialization in theology and apologetics. Tony is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. He works with children, adolescents, adult males, couples, and families facing a wide range of issues including depression, multicultural issues, relationship issues, anxiety, self-image and addictions. He also provides premarital and marital counseling. Tony uses an array of counseling methodologies, maintaining Christian principles as a priority. Additionally, he has completed training in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR International Association. Prior to becoming a counselor, Tony was a university administrator who lead a multicultural leadership program. In the past, Tony has served both as a youth and college minister. In his spare time, Tony enjoys reading, traveling, learning about cultures, watching criminal procedural and comedy shows, trying new foods, watching martial arts, and spending time with his family and friends.
