Susan Kusmin, M.A.


Susan Castillo Kusmin is a biblical counselor and teacher. She has served on ministry staff with Young Life, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, and The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center. She studied counseling and theology at Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF), Westminster Seminary in P.A., and earned her master’s degree from Redeemer Seminary in Dallas. She is also a Certified Professional Coach.

Susan is passionate about helping people discover how to flourish no matter what challenges they face. Her specializations include body-related concerns/experiences, including body image, weight, illness, sexual/ physical trauma, etc. Further areas of specialty include challenging relationships (esp. adult child/ parent), emotional pain (esp. disappointment, grief, shame), anxiety, financial wellness, and overwhelm/overwork.

Susan resides in her beloved birthplace, NYC, with her husband and their dapple dachshund. She and her husband have one adult daughter and have had the privilege of being foster parents to 32 children across the five years they did foster care. When not working, Susan may often be found creating one-of-a-kind jewelry out of natural materials from around the world, boxing/weight training, or tending to her indoor garden.
