Clinical Supervisor and Counselor

Jyothi James received her Master’s in Professional Counseling and is a licensed Mental Health Therapist. Jyothi has extensive experience working with survivors of trauma, using EMDR and experiential treatment to facilitate healing. Jyothi works with clients on an individual and group level. Jyothi is experienced in helping clients with anxiety, depression, history of abuse, trauma, life transitions, identity crisis, and sex offenders. She also facilitates group counseling at RCS on managing anxiety in a faith based way. She is passionate about walking with others to understand their story, and help them understand how that has impacted the way they see themselves, others, and even God. She and her husband have been in ministry together for the past 9 years. They recently planted the church, New Hope Church, in Harlem. They have two children and a labrador retriever.
