Jennifer Libert, LMSW

Counselor

Jennifer is a licensed social worker with a Master's degree in social work from NYU and an undergraduate degree in history from Princeton. Prior to becoming a counselor, Jennifer studied law in the United Kingdom and had an eighteen-year career in law and banking.

Jennifer has spent many years in ministry, including in West Africa, where she also pursued French and African studies at the University of Dakar, Senegal. Before coming to Redeemer Counseling Services, Jennifer worked at Avail NYC as Director of Avail’s Hope Program, which provides supportive counseling to women and men following abortion. Jennifer's practice addresses a range of issues, including PTSD, depression, grief and racial trauma.

In addition to her NYU clinical training, Jennifer is training at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy where she is a couples and family therapist. She has experience in individual, family and group work. Jennifer lives in Riverdale with her husband and two children.
